Extension ideas?

First of all, the hardware works perfectly. Nice sounding speakers, the mic volume is a bit low, but might be my lacking knowledge.

For a project I would need to extend the connection over about 120 cm. Should I just use breadboard cables and solder them into long ones or is there a neat alternative with 40-pin connectors? I only found short ones yet.

Secondly, which pins does the mic+ need? I guess the 7 GPIO pins I found, 3.3V and 5V, then one Ground pin? Does it matter which one? Are they connected on the device?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hello and welcome,
This is challenging to have such long cable exttension for rasberry Pi, as the I2S signal is not realy made for that lenght but you could try.

for the pins :

  • all 3.3v
  • all 5v
  • all gnd
