I have a Pi5 with an 8xOUT. Will this work with an Android OS? The build I’m using (AOSP (Android 16) for Raspberry Pi 5) supports HiFiBerry DAC8x, but I didn’t get any audio output when selecting it.
if it supports the other model you have mentionned it should work as we are using the same drivers.
I was able to get it working, but only putting out 2ch. I’m still trying to figure out how to get the other channels to output.
does this Android distribution really supports the four I2S buses? As it was quite recently supported in PI OS
I don’t know, this is all new to me (Pi, DACs,and Android development)! I2S is not specifically listed as supported, but it does show working support for GPIO DACs.
