Can someone explain why my Muse Luxe refuses to play beeps?

I have a super weird thing: My MuseLuxe (with the latest ESPhome firmware) refuses to play beeps!!

I always had a simple beep chime and I recently noticed it doesn’t work any more. It just remains silent.

I thought maybe something wrong with the beep, so I tried others, for example the second one from this site (“Beep” from “u_edtmwfwu7c”):

Weirdly enough, other chimes I have, text-to-speech etc remain working.

I have tried FLAC, WAV, MP3, different sampling rates … that can’t be it either.

It’s high end strange! Anyone mind trying out the beep from above?

Indeed, I tried this now and it works:

ffmpeg -i beep.flac -af "adelay=500ms:all=true" beep0.flac

Having said that, I now realized that for everything I play the first few hundred milliseconds seem to be chopped off. For example, when I do text-to-speech, the first word is only half.

Is this already a known issue?
