ESPHome Sendspin

Anyone tried setting up the LUXE MUSE with ESPHome and Sendspin yet? I’m thinking about migrating from Snapcast and I never got that to work on the speaker, so I’m hoping it might go better with Sendspin.

Hi, is the goal to play music synced across different devices?

If so I’m using Squeezelite to do this.

Yes, but squeezelite is a bad fit for the job.

Using Squeezelite hwre as well across quite a few devices. Love it!

i just tried a simple sendspin mediaplayer on a esp32 wrover, same as in muse lux v1 and muse proto (it got 4mb psram) and it was super easy and works great with music assistant.
difference is this will sync with all sendspin devices, not just squeezelite devices
(you need to change pin numbers of course)

I’d like to try your work on Sendspin, but the compilation is giving me quite a few errors… Could you tell me which version of esphome you’re working on and perhaps share some other tips?

latest version, or at least 2026.1 release version
