MIC+ Doesn't Work with HDMI Display Attached

I have a Newhaven 4.3" LCD display attached to my RP 4 via HDMI.

The MIC+ was working okay, but all of a sudden it stopped working. I have found if I disconnect the HDMI cable/reboot. The MIC+ starts to work again as before. But as soon as I try the HDMI display again, no audio from the MIC+.

I tried “dtoverlay=disable_hdmi_audio” in config.txt, no change in problem.

Please help, I’ve been stuck for a day on this.

Problem Solved. I had to delete the file “.asoundrc” from my home directory.
