I got the device off Amazon and it came with the “Ros & Co” firmware. I was able to update to the Squeezelite firmware and it plays everything seems to work from controlling it.
I see that there are 4 leds from the original firmware test. Is there any way to use those with squeezelite or would I need a different firmware for that?
Also is there a Known Board Name for this model under hardware?

Hi, I have the same issue - I’ve bought directly through the store. Instead of booting squeezelite, it seems to only boot some test software (the documentation reads it comes preinstalled with squeezelite)…
Can you explain, what you did to flash squeezelite? Long pressing the silver button does not do anything (what is described in the manual), the soft-ap “squeezelite” seems to not be active while the test firmware is running.

Found it - the manual is missing the information, that you need to connect over USB first to download the firmware - this needs a desktop machine/Webbrowser.
Now I have squeezeplayer working, but can’t get the nice visual action on the display. It only shows the IP address of the connected LMS server, button turn changes volume, button press mutes. Any idea how to show currently playing title or the vu-meter?

If not already done … install the SqueezeESP32 plugin in LMS from the Manage Plugins page.
