I’ve had a muse proto since it came out. In the early days it worked well, however I only need output from homeassistant, so all the voice assistant and microphone code of today is superfluous.
But more to the point, the performance isn’t as good as it used to be.
I tried to mod the proto voice assistant code, but probably badly!
Does someone have the appropriate yaml for a output only muse proto with homeassistant in 2025 and keeping things really simple?

Ok we put that on our task list to refresh the yaml for HA with the Proto, with a version for music only and an assistant one.
Probably early next week.

So we have just released a new version for ESPHome for the Muse PROTO and Manga Cast.
You can flash it here apps.raspiaudio.com slecting th right device and application.
Next updates will then been made in HA.

Feel free to give us feedback.
Also if you only using it for music I can also recommand your to install the Squeezelite ESP32 firmware as it is then detected in Music Assistant.
