Just installed the new firmware, this is great - sound quality seems much better now.

Is it correct though that the voice assistant functionality is unavailable if music is being played? Suggestion would be to use the Ok/Confirm button on the player to pause music and trigger wake word.

@SeByDocKy - I want to implement the same functionality; can you propose a PR to github so this can be implemented in the main version?

As a side note, I would recommend installing Music Assistant if not done so already. Latest version provides easy integration of Spotify Connect for any speaker including ESP based ones.

FIY I did the yaml modification to setup through HA front-end the 4 radio presets. Seems to work fineā€¦

A new version of Muse Radio Home Assistant is now available(2025.3.1)

It offers two new features:

  • Persistant audio volume
    - Audio volume is retained after a restart.

  • Remote control support
    - with 4 assigned buttons (Volume Up, Volume Down, Mute, Back)
    - and 8 buttons available for automations

As announced, a new version is available (2025.3.2).

In addition to fixing various minor issues, it includes improved Wi-Fi management, which greatly enhances the radioā€™s startup process.

I welcome all your feedback on this version and any suggestions for further improvementsā€¦

Iā€™m very new at this, sorry if the answer to this question is obvious.

I would like to use my Muse Radio as both a voice assistant and as a sendspin multi room speaker. I found this fork which I assume would do the trick? But how do I proceed to install a fork on my Muse Radio?

This version is somewhat outdated; it will be replaced in a few days by a more comprehensive version tailored for Home Assistant and Music Assistant.
In the meantime, you might want to check out RASPIAUDIO/esphomeRadioMusic; it is very recent but supports only Music Assistant (and therefore sendspin).
