New Home Assistant unified firmware for our Muse Radio!

Introducing a unified firmware for the RASPIAUDIO Muse Radio

The RASPIAUDIO Radio can now be both a Home Assistant Assist voice satellite and a Music Assistant Sendspin player, using a single ESPHome firmware.

Play music or an internet station in Music Assistant, and the Radio automatically switches its display and controls to music mode. When playback stops, local wake words such as “Okay Nabu” can launch Assist.

Need to ask a question while music is playing? Press the Radio’s Assist button. Playback pauses across the current Sendspin group, Assist listens and speaks its reply, and the music resumes automatically. Wake-word detection is intentionally unavailable during playback.

The four physical station buttons can store and recall internet radio stations—no Home Assistant automation required. The screen shows station or track information, volume and battery status. The volume control, Mute button and supported IR commands adapt to the current mode.

The firmware has been tested with recent versions of ESPHome, Home Assistant and Music Assistant. We welcome feedback from other Radio owners!
