Unable to get Mic+ working, no sound or LED, errors in test file

Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, fresh Buster installation, update + upgrade done, Mic+ V2.

No sound or LED light from the Mic+. Seeing some write errors on the test script. Test script doesn’t pause to wait for the yellow onboard button to be pushed even though it seems like it’s supposed to.

Have gone through the other threads and haven’t been able to get this figured out. Tried headless and get the same result.

Any ideas?
